The Chung Do Kwan is the largest of the original and traditional schools (Kwans) of Taekwondo and predates organisations such as 'Kukkiwon', the WTF and ITF Federations. Chung Do Kwan issues its own rank certification.

Chung Do Kwan
The Chung Do Kwan (靑濤館; "Blue Wave School") name was first used by WON KUK, LEE.
Chung Do Kwan is the largest and one of the oldest of the original Taekwondo 'Kwans'.
Beginning in early times, Chung Do Kwan technique and philosophy centred on mastering basics, developing powerful technique, pinpoint accuracy in application, strong kicking, and deep appreciation for manners and etiquette. Its trademark techniques are the side kick jumping side kick, and sliding side kick although it practices many other techniques as well--all in accordance with Chung Do Kwan principles. From the start, Won Kuk, Lee wanted his students to be men of honour, only allowed upstanding individuals as his students, and encouraged them to live honorable lives as Chung Do Kwan students.
UK Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo is proud to boast some of the highest ranked Masters and Grand Master's in the World as well as members who are official Chung Do Kwan World Champions.
