As boundaries between Martial Arts gradually become blurred and often mixed, a new genre of 'freestyle' Taekwondo has emerged and developed that has incorporated many popular Kickboxing and aerobic training methods to create a diverse modern fitness programme emersed in the dynamic and explosive nature of Korean Taekwondo.
There has been a noticeable increase and popularity in the number of women and children joining clubs where they are able to offer a Korean Kickboxing section.
This has also enabled Taekwondo and Korean Kickboxing practitioners to compete in friendly competitions and exchanges.
